The last one for Leslie's 30 in 30 challenge.  I would like to thank everyone who visited my blog. Your visits and very kind comments have encouraged and given me reasons to keep painting. I have recieved a lot more comments than I expected. I feel so lucky to know you all. Thank you so much again. **bow**

I painted a mug and then did another value study with the same cup. This challenge has been a great experience. I am so glad that I found it before it started so I could join. This is the last day of the challenge but I will visit your blogs again. Happy painting and keep your brushes busy !

Leslie's 30 in 30 challenge Day 29.  As probably some of you already know, painting white cups usually gives me frustration and there wasn't an exception today. Oh well.......... eventhough they still look muddy and have gotten me discouraged, I decided to be optimistic. Maybe I am getting better at painting white objects. Maybe I just don't realize it yet. Maybe all of the sudden, I will be really good at painting whites if I keep doing it. ( okay, be positive! be positive !!! )  **wink** **wink**

Anyways, It's already 29th day of the challenge and only one painting to go! I will end this challenge by painting a white cup again. See you tomorrow !

Day 28th for Leslie's 30 in 30 challenge.  I tried the bird ( maybe a duck) again with chopsticks this time. Painting white is one of my biggest challenges. ** sigh **

V & X

Day 23 for 30 in 30 challenge. I have kept painting since New Year's Day. Only I thought about these days was what to paint next. I am still super excited about it and loving it.

It's just that I am kind of realized that I haven't hung out with my friends that much for this month.  I meet and have a short chat with some of my friends while dropping  off and picking up my son at school.  And I talked some other friends on phone several times. But It feels like I haven't met any friend at all for this month. I am craving friends now.

By the way, I named this painting ' V & X '. Do you see why?

Yellow Scissors

30 in 30 challenge Day 17.  Painting scissors were on my project list for a long time. I played  with these  scissors for a while with light and my view finder. I finally found the composition and shadow shape that I liked. It was fun.  I will probably try to paint more scissors.

Green & Red

My son(6 years old) forgot to bring his planner (a notebook that he is supposed to bring everyday) to school. This is the conversation we had when he got home.

Me : "Hey, you forgot to bring your planner today."
My son : "I know, Mom so I called you but you didn't answer the phone."
Me : (wondering who's phone he was using) "Did you? I didn't get any missed call today."
My son :(gesturing he is holding a phone with his hand) " I have an imaginary phone, you know, but nobody answers my calls."
Me :  "............................."

Anyways, it is Leslie's 30 in 30 challenge Day 15. We are half way through. Way to go, everyone !

Green Gathering

Green Gathering     6x6    oil on canvas board

While searching internet, I found "30 paintings in 30 days challenge" It's an online challege for artists. Create 30 paintings in a month( January 2015 for this time) and upload them online to share the works with other people. I thought I should join. This is my fisrt painting for the challenge. I painted a little ahead of the starting date( 1/1/12015) to have enough time to let the painting dry so that I could take a photo of it easily.(when it's wet, very hard to handle it to take a photo)
