'Apple-solute' 6x6 in oil on canvas panel
This painting was done in June, 2015 and I am reposting this for a dollar auction in DPW.
I bought a big bag of granny smith apples and painted them many times in last June. I singularly wanted to work on painting apples. My painting stage (table) was full of the green apples with scrap booking papers underneath. I tired to move them here and there under a lamp light to find nice patterns to paint - this painting is one of the compositions that I wanted to translate onto a canvas that time. It was really fun to play with the apples and the light - sometimes shadow creates very interesting value patterns.
